Southern Indiana Wedding Reception Venue
Weddings & Receptions at The Gallery House
A wedding day that feels like yours.
The Gallery House is a historic wedding venue in downtown Bedford, Indiana, designed for couples who want a beautiful place to celebrate without having to fit their wedding into a traditional venue formula.
Whether you're getting married here or saying "I do" somewhere meaningful and coming here for the reception, we give you the space, flexibility, and amenities to make the day your own.
With a private Bridal Suite, Groom's Lounge, Main Floor Ballroom, included tables and chairs, and a team that takes care of the cleanup when the night is over, we've thought through the details that make a wedding day easier.
Your ceremony. Your vendors. Your style. Your celebration.
More Than a Reception Hall
There's a difference between renting a room and having a place designed around your wedding day.
At The Gallery House, you have spaces for the entire experience—from getting ready in the morning to your last dance at night.
A place to get ready
Our private Bridal Suite gives the girls a beautiful place to spend the morning together, while the Groom's Lounge gives the guys their own space to get ready and hang out.
A beautiful place to celebrate
Our Main Floor Ballroom gives you room for dinner, dancing, and everything in between, with the historic character of our downtown location providing a setting you won't find in a traditional banquet hall.
The freedom to make it yours
Bring the vendors you love, choose your own décor, and create a wedding that actually feels like you. We provide the foundation; you make it yours.
And when the night is over, you're done.
This one matters.
You don't come back the next morning to clean up your wedding.
Take your personal belongings, take anything you brought in, and go home. Our staff handles the rest of the venue cleanup.
You take your things. We take care of the rest.
Your Ceremony. Your Way.
Can I have my ceremony somewhere else?
Absolutely.
Reception-only weddings are one of the things we do best.
Many of our couples choose to get married at their church, a family property, or another location that means something to them, then celebrate their marriage at The Gallery House afterward.
You can spend the morning getting ready here, head to your ceremony, take photos, and return to The Gallery House for cocktails, dinner, dancing, and the rest of the celebration.
And if you'd rather have your ceremony and reception in one place, we can do that, too.

Thinking The Gallery House might be the right fit?
Come see it for yourself. We'll walk you through the spaces, the suites, and how your wedding day can actually flow here.
How Many Guests Can We Have?
Our Main Floor Ballroom is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 200 guests for a wedding reception, with a max capacity of 250.
For ceremonies held at The Gallery House, we recommend up to 125 guests for the best experience and flow.
Planning something smaller? We also offer a Micro Wedding Package for celebrations of up to 100 guests.
Whether you're planning a full dance floor and a big celebration or a more intimate gathering, we'll help you find the setup that works best for your guest count and the way you want to use the space.
What's Included?
What's included depends on the package you choose, but every wedding package includes the essentials:
Tables
White folding chairs
Black linens
Venue staff
Complete venue cleanup
And that last one deserves repeating.
We handle the cleanup
When your rental ends, you do not have to come back the next morning to clean up your wedding.
You take your belongings and anything you brought in. We handle the rest.
Depending on the package you choose, you may also have access to additional spaces, setup and conversion, and the Bridal Suite and Groom's Lounge.
Choose the Wedding Experience That Fits You
We offer four primary wedding packages:
Premier
Our most complete wedding experience, with the most access, amenities, and support.
Best for couples who want the full Gallery House experience.
Signature
A flexible wedding option that gives you the spaces and rental time you need without all of the additions included in Premier.
Celebration
A simpler option for couples who primarily need a beautiful reception space and the essentials.
Micro Wedding
Planning a smaller celebration? Our Micro Wedding Package is designed for weddings of up to 100 guests and includes access to our key wedding spaces.
Bring the Vendors You Love
Can I choose my own vendors?
Yes.
We don't believe your wedding should look like everyone else's, and that includes the people you hire to make it happen.
You're welcome to choose your own caterer, photographer, florist, DJ, coordinator, baker, and other wedding professionals, as long as they meet our venue requirements.
If you'd rather have recommendations, we can also point you toward vendors we've worked with and trust.
You choose the people. We provide the place.
Start the Day Here
A Bridal Suite designed for the morning you've imagined.
The Bridal Suite is more than a place to put your dress.
It's where you can spend the morning with your closest people, have your hair and makeup done, get dressed, take photos, and slow down for a minute before everything begins.
For couples having their ceremony somewhere else, it's also the perfect starting point for the day.
Get ready here. Leave for your ceremony. Come back and celebrate.
A Space of Their Own
The Groom's Lounge
The guys get their own space, too.
The Groom's Lounge includes dressing areas, an attire rack, card table, TV, grooming station, private restroom with shower, built-in bar, and room to relax before the celebration begins.
It's a place to get ready, hang out, and enjoy some time together before everyone meets on the dance floor.
What Does a Wedding Day at The Gallery House Look Like?
There's no single way to use the space, but here's one example of how a reception-only wedding can flow:
Morning
The Bridal Suite and Groom's Lounge open the day with getting ready, photos, and time with your wedding party.
Ceremony
Head to your church or other ceremony location while your reception space remains here and ready for your return.
Afternoon
Take photos, enjoy your ceremony, and make your way back to Bedford.
Cocktail Hour
Guests arrive at The Gallery House and enjoy cocktails while you finish photos and make your entrance.
Dinner
Everyone sits down together for dinner, toasts, and all the moments that come with it.
Dancing
Open the dance floor and celebrate with the people who came to celebrate you.
Send-Off
When the night is over, take your personal belongings and head home.
We'll take care of the cleanup.

Can we have a rehearsal?
Rehearsal availability depends on your package and event schedule. Our Premier Package includes dedicated Friday access for setup and rehearsal.

“My husband and I had the largest wedding The Gallery House has held, and it was the best day of our lives. We knew that we didn’t want a barn wedding. When we saw the elegance of The Gallery House, we fell in love. I have to admit, the narrowness of the main floor made me nervous, but it truly worked so beautifully with my vision. To Gabbie and Lizzie, thank you so much for accommodating all of my requests and easing my worries. Thank you for capturing the moments we get to look back on the rest of our lives. Thank you for accepting our large crowd and working through the unexpected. If anything did go wrong, my husband and I didn’t have a clue. If I could relive our wedding day, I wouldn’t have changed a thing!”
